Mr. Humayun Habib (MPBC Exco member and Chairperson ASEAN Chapter of ICAP Members – ACIM) had a productive meeting on January 24, 2024 with Datuk Wong Kay Yong in Kuala Lumpur together with Mr Calvert Wong Executive Director at AppAsia and Mr Bryan (Business Manager AppAsia).
Datuk Wong was appointed as MIA Council member on 15 March 2022. He is currently the Head, Corporate Surveillance & Governance (CSG), Bursa Malaysia Berhad.
Datuk Wong was curious about CA Pakistan talent capabilities and he expressed support for ACIM to accelerate driving initiatives to realise opportunities for enhancing institutional collaboration between MIA and ICAP. Mr. Humayun conveyed compliments and best wishes of Mr Ali Latif (ICAP President) & ICAP leadership, Dato’ Sri Mohamed Nazir (Chairman Malaysia Pakistan Business Council – MPBC) and shared about initiatives to enhance economic engagement with ASEAN in collaboration with Pakistan High Commission.
Mr. Calvert presented about AppAsia’s product “e-Confirm” which is a smart and efficient digital solution to replace manual bank audit confirmation process. Mr. Calvert shared that this solution has been widely adopted by banks and audit firms in Malaysia. AppAsia is embarking on its next phase to promote this smart efficient environment friendly (eliminates paper printing) solution to Asia Pacific markets.
