The Executive Committee members of the Malaysia Pakistan Business Council (MPBC), led by Chairman Dato’ Sri Mohamed Nazir, recently hosted a productive working lunch in Kuala Lumpur. Distinguished guests included Mr. Herman Hardynata Ahmad, Consul General of Malaysia in Pakistan, and Ms. Tahir Javed, Pakistan’s Trade & Investment Counsellor in Kuala Lumpur.

Key discussion topics included exhibitions, Mango festival, the visit of a business delegation from Malaysia to Pakistan for the Food Agri Expo, the status of trade agreements between Malaysia and Pakistan, and collaboration between MPBC and business chambers in Karachi.

During the event, Mr. Humayun, the ASEAN Chapter Chair, presented ‘CA Pakistan’ mementos, symbolizing the strong ties between the two nations. An invitation was also extended to visit the ICAP Head Office in Karachi. The purpose of this visit is to engage with ICAP leadership, gain insights into various initiatives undertaken by ICAP and its overseas chapters, and enhance collaboration with the Malaysian Institute of Accountants (MIA). This collaboration aims to strengthen international institutional cooperation and drive economic growth.
