Dato’ Sri Mohamed Nazir Meraslam (Chairperson of the Malaysia Pakistan Business Council) and Mr. Humayun Habib (Chairperson of the ASEAN Chapter) recently paid a courtesy visit to the office of Ms. Tahira Javed, Trade and Investment Counsellor at the High Commission of Pakistan in Kuala Lumpur.
The delegates warmly welcomed Ms. Tahira to Malaysia and expressed their gratitude for her support in championing the ‘CA Pakistan’ value proposition, which highlights Pakistani talent and the export of accounting services. They discussed the significant gap of accountants in Malaysia, which can be effectively filled by skilled Chartered Accountants from Pakistan.
The discussions also focused on promoting Pakistan as an outsourcing hub for accounting services, showcasing Pakistani talent, and exploring institutional collaboration with the Malaysian Institute of Accountants. This collaboration aims to recognize CA Pakistan, meet the needs of finance professionals, and support the growth of the Malaysian economy.
Additionally, Mr. Humayun and Dato’ Sri Nazir presented ICAP mementos to Ms. Tahira as a token of appreciation for her ongoing support.
