PUTRAJAYA, Aug 31 (Bernama) -- It was hard not to notice tailor Mohammad Jamil Abdul Hamid, who was in a special outfit of red, blue, yellow, and white at the National Day celebration at Dataran Putrajaya today.
What made him stand out from others was the “kullah” (tall cap) with the words “Daulat Tuanku” on his head.
"I want to show how special Malaysia is to me, even though I have Pakistani roots. I sewed this outfit myself combining elements of Malaysia and Pakistan. For example, the suit uses traditional Pakistani patterns, while the colours red, blue, yellow, and white reflect Malaysia.
